Our Happiness Team works very closely together to delight customers as often and creatively as possible over email, twitter, and live chat. Measuring customer happiness can be tricky, but we believe that a really fast and personal reply inherently makes people happy. We hold ourselves to a high standard; currently we answer the majority of emails within 1 hour and tweets within 15 minutes, and we are continually evolving those goals. To make people even happier, we need to keep becoming better, as well as growing the team (that's where you come in!).
We work toward these goals by being in constant communication (over HipChat, Sqwiggle, daily Google+ Hangouts, and even twice-yearly in-person work retreats somewhere in the world). We also geek out on improving Buffer, so after we listen and respond to our customers, we use data to organize, prioritize and share their insights with the Product and Engineering teams. We also strive for that great balance of being a team that feels like a family. That means we share feedback regularly, support each other's self-improvement efforts, and take mistakes as opportunities to learn together. :)
